As promised in yesterday's news column, I am letting you know who Batista's opponent will be at WWE's Great American Bash pay per view this Sunday. Mark Henry was injured and will be unable to work the pay per view so an opponent had to be found at the last minute. And that opponent is.....
Mr. Ken Kennedy....Kennedy!
I have no idea how WWE will build any sort of storyline between the two with just one show to do it in (Smackdown on Friday) but this match could be a big break for Kennedy, who was on the cusp of really breaking out when he tore his lat (a muscle in his back) and required surgery several months ago. That sidelined him for a number of months. Ironically, that injury is the same one that Batista sustained and tried to work through but ended up overcompensating and tearing his triceps muscle, requiring surgery. He had been out of action for several months recovering from both injuries. His first match back will be against Kennedy at the GAB this Sunday.
Let's hope the two go easy on their recently healed injuries and put on a memorable match.
I will have lost more news and views soon!
Patty
