Atlanta Attractions Roundup

Atlanta is popping at the seams with great attractions, both large and small. These sites appeal to both tourists and locals, because they offer great entertainment at a great price. Plus, they are perfect for couples, families, best friends getaways–basically, everyone! So next time your headed to Atlanta, make plans to check out one or more on this list.

Six Flags Over Georgia

Home to 11 roller coasters, including the all-new Goliath (which soars more than 200 feet above the park), this attraction welcomes guests of all ages to experience a plethora of rides, games, shows and more.

Six Flags White Water/American Adventures

During the summer, there’s no better place to cool off than White Water with its thrilling rides, water slides, lazy river, wave pool and kids’ sections. The only theme park exclusively for children 12 and younger, American Adventures provides fun every spring through fall.

Stone Mountain Park

Open year-round, there’s never a shortage of things to do at this Atlanta favorite. From hiking up the mountain or taking a riverboat cruise to visiting the antebellum plantation or playing mini golf, the park never fails to entertain.

Atlanta Cyclorama

Since 1893, this cylindrical painting and theater in the round has told the story of the Battle of Atlanta, which took place July 22, 1864. When visiting, be sure and check out the locomotive Texas, as well as the many displays of Civil War artifacts, weapons, photographs, uniforms and videos.

Zoo Atlanta

Bring the kids, and spend the day monkeying around with the zebras, pandas, lions and more. If animal encounters aren’t enough, romp around on the KIDZone Playground, test your skills on the Rock Climber, take a spin on the Nabisco Endangered Species Carousel or relax on the Norfolk Southern Zoo Express Train.
