| Now that you have created your BloggerTM account and setup your blog, you are ready to create your first post. This can be a welcome message or anything else you wish to start with. After you log in, you will be taken to the Dashboard area. For this first time, we will create a simple post involving text formatting, an image and hyperlink. On the Dashboard page, you will see a list of all the blogs you have created for this account. Since this is your first blog, it will be the only one listed. Click on the New Post icon (plus sign) and you will be taken to the Posting - Create section of the Blogger workspace. Step 1. Title of your post. The first thing you need to do is give this post a title by typing it in the Title input box. Under the title input box, you will see the main editing box where you will enter the text for your post. Notice the Compose and Edit HTML tabs on the right. Click on the Compose tab. As you can see along the top of the input box, there are several tools we will use to format your text and add the image and hyperlink.  Text Format Text Color Icon Add Image Icon Link IconStep 2. Text formatting. Use the drop-down menus to choose a font and font size. If you wish, you can also set the text to bold (b) and italic (i). Next, click on the Text Color icon to open a small color picker and choose a color for your text. The default color is black. Now you are ready to type in the text of your first post. If you have the text in a word processer program, you can copy and paste the text into the input area. At any time, you can preview your post by clicking the Preview link at the right. Click the Hide Preview link to return. Step 3. Add an image. You may or may not wish to include an image in your post every time. But for this example, we will add a small image at the beginning of the post. Place your cursor before the first word of your message and click on the Add Image icon to open the Upload Image dialog box. You have the option to upload an image from your computer or type in the URL of an image that is already stored on your website. For this tutorial, we will upload an image from your computer. First, choose one of the layout options for your image by clicking the right, center or left radio button. Because we want the image to be at the left of the text, leave the Left radio button selected. Then click on the Browse button to find your image on your computer. When you are ready, click the Upload Image button to place the image into your post. When the post is updated, you should see your image at the beginning of your post.
