This new feature presents an electronic version of my new Terra Tarot Deck, one card at a time. The foureenth card available for download is The King of Swords.

The King of Swords is a very reflective, analytical, and intelligent monarch, who thinks things through before jumping in. He inspires his kingdom, and leads his people with critical awareness, discernment, and adept communication skills. Justice stands by his side, representing his leadership style - all people are seen as equal, and all have rights to dignity and prosperity - he works hard to ensure this.
The symbology used in my rendition of the King of Swords shows a determined, thoughtful king standing resolved and intent in the remote desert landscape.
Since the theme of this deck is Terra, our Mother Earth, I elected to begin this illustration using a primitive landscape that showcases piercing mountains that also point straight up into the clear blueish purple sky. The foreground consists of a vast sandy desert plain that nicely contrasts the sky with its rich golden tones.
The monarch holds his long sturdy sword straight up, pointing to the heavens. At the top, a decorative Merkaba which represents the metaphysical spirit "vehicle" that becomes activated as we balance our chakras, meridians, and lifeforce brings hope floats above the King. At the bottom, lies the elemental Air symbol to the left, and the Male gender symbol, since the Swords are considered to be masculine in nature. To the side of the King stands a tiny version of Justice, representing the female supportive element, indicating that this is a fair and noble King who will fight to the death for his people. The King calls you to mirror his demeanor - to act with justice, honor, and respect for all around you. To think things through before jumping in, and to always move through the world in a refined and noble way. Behind him stands an elegant Chimera, symbolizing diversity and elegance as each being strives to be the best they can be.
