Self Development Shop

Page one of The Self Development Shop contains the best of the best fiction personal development books. These materials have all been pre-evaluated for you. I will only recommend those products I have used personally.

There are resources reviewed here that may seem to be very similar in content –read the reviews, click on the links to gain further information and make your choices based on which ones best suit your lifestyle and personal goals.

I believe that personal self-development is a life long process. I urge you not just to buy and thumb though these materials but to read, absorb and use the ideas and “aha’s” gathered from them in your daily life. A Chinese Proverb reads: “I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand.”

Please, check back to The Self Development Shop often, as new items will be added regularly.

If you’d like to purchase any of The Self Development Shop’s recommended and reviewed products, there is a purchase link at the bottom of each review article that will take you Amazon.com or other retailers.

Self-Development Fiction Books
This page contains my picks for the top self-development fiction books.

Jonathon Livingston Seagull by Richard Bach - Jonathon Livingston Seagull

Who would have thought that a fictional seagull named Jonathon Livingston could have become such a timeless hero of the modern self-discovery movement? Here I am thirty-eight years after the first publication date reviewing this powerful classic. What makes this tale about a nonconforming gull so timeless? Here’s what I think and I hope you’ll let me what you think.

The Alcemist by Pallo Coelho - The Alchemist

Have you ever dreamt to living out your wildest dreams and then talked yourself out of it? Are you unsure about taking that leap of faith and beginning your journey to greater self-discovery? If you answered, “yes” to either question, then please read on because The Alchemist is a book you’ll want to sit back and enjoy.

The Five People You Meet In Heaven by Mitch Albom - The Five People You Meet In Heaven

You never know whose life you’ll have the ability to change or positively impact by simply “knowing” them. The Five People You Meet In Heaven, weaves a story of how one man impacted the lives of so many people and yet, never realized it until he met and talked with them in heaven.

The Traveler's Gift - The Traveler's Gift

The Traveler’s Gift is a fascinating combination of self-development principles and captivating fiction. How great is it to be able to learn wisdom from King Solomon and forgiveness from Abraham Lincoln? The author takes us on not only a historical journey but also one of self-discovery.

The Twelfth Angel - The Twelfth Angel

I’ve always enjoyed Og Mandino’s self-development books, both his nonfiction and fiction. The Twelfth Angel is trademark Og Mandino - it is a powerful self-development lesson taught through emotion and by example. It’s a story of hope for the future, even when the future appears hopeless.
