The daily practice of replacing your negative voice with a positive one is the first step in destroying negative self talk. It may not seem to be working in the beginning but with continued use suddenly one day you will notice that the positive comes a bit easier than the negative.
Here are twenty affirmations to replace any negative self talk that may pass through your thoughts on any given day.
"I am beautiful!"
"I am smart!"
"I love myself."
"I am talented."
"I can do anything I set my mind to."
"I love to take care of myself."
"I am a gutsy, glamorous gyrl with tons of gusto!"
"I'm going to the top!"
"I stand up for myself."
"I'm worthy of affection."
"I deserve respect."
"I'm allowed to voice my opinion."
"I love my ...(fill in the blank)"
"I am not defined by my weight!"
"I take care of me."
"No one has the right to put me down. Not even me."
"My body is a temple."
"It's normal not to look like everyone else."
"I am wholesome goodness."
As a treat for yourself write these on mini strips of paper and hide them around the house, in your purse, jacket, anywhere you are likely to find them. They'll be like your own personal fortune cookies.
