Horse Clipart

It is thought that horses evolved from fox-like creatures only about a foot high. It is thought that due to a number of factors: hunting by larger animals like the mammoth, possible over-hunting by man along with climate changes many species of horse were wiped out, except for the ones in Asia and a few zebras.

It is not known when horses were first domesticated but researchers think it was during the time of the chariots around 2000 BC going by clear evidence although it looks as though they may have been tamed earlier – in 4000 BC around the Ukraine.

It is believed the horse was introduced to America in the sixteenth century by the Spanish explorers.
