This release comes on the one year anniversary of the initial launch of the XBox. The on line system will cost $49.95 and include a voice headset kit plus 12 months worth of gaming time. The system is broadband only because of the high level of graphics involved in games, so players will need a cable modem or other broadband internet connection to use the on line services.Microsoft plans to release 6 games that are capable of playing on the network. UPDATE: By 2009 the XBox Live system has proven itself to be the gold standard of online console gaming. Microsoft did its job well!
