Gridiron Gang

Though a gritty and powerful, true story, Columbia Pictures presents how one man made a difference in the motion picture, Gridiron Gang.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson plays Sean Porter, a juvenile detention probation officer, who long with his fellow colleague, Malcolm Moore, played by Xzbit, puts together a high school-level football team made of dangerous and terribly troubled teenage felons. The team is developed as a means of educating the young men on the concepts of establishing self respect and social responsibility. While facing gang rivalries and hatred between the teammates is not the only challenge, simply finding another team who is willing to play against the young convicted felons presents itself as a problem as well.

Life, itself, for these young men, all products stemmed from desperate situations, has landed them in Camp Kilpatrick, a maximum security juvenile facility. And, with the realization that 75% of the juvenile inmates usually find themselves returning to prison as adults or losing their lives in the street due to violence, the opportunity of being given this second change could dramatically change the course of their lives. But, it is only with hard work, commitment and through bold leadership could such an idea make a true difference in the outcome of the life of even the most hopeless kid.
