When we go for a reading it can be exciting anticipating what our future may hold. However, not all readings will grant us the types of information we want to hear. When we are advised of a challenging situation in the near or distant future, understanding empowerment and purpose always remains the forefront of any condition, helps in balancing our perspective, expected or not.
Most readers I have come in contact with take to heart both the quality and type of reading a client walks away with. They share in the excitement good news and opportunity brings as well as empathize with challenges surfacing offering, in most cases, advice in the best way to handle them.
Although it may be tempting to feel a disapointing reading is waste of time and money, sitting tight and hearing what is being said or sleeping on the information, may reveal insight we may not have expected or a path we would not have considered otherwise.
I remember a young man wanting a reading on what he could expect with his engagement, i.e. how the marriage would go and insight into more pressing issues. Though the questions he was asking were valid, messages in response to them had little to do with family and children surrounding his present partner.
The gentleman was polite upon leaving, but a few months later had made certain to inform, he had not been pleased with his reading and that he in fact was now married to the person in question.
Personally, it is always disappointing when a client leaves dis-satisfied. If it is the reader who misinterprets information, we should always be receptive to this posibility and offer to investigate further. However, in this case, the messages coming through reflected information he had been concerned about, but addressed issues outside of what he wanted to hear or even expected.
A few years later I had the opportunity to hear back from this individual. What had transpired was, this person had married a girlfriend from his past with disappointing results.
The reading did not reflect he would not get married or push forward in the events to follow, but simply stated this would be a, "Familiar union - though not that of Soul Mate understanding." What had played out reflected more of a path of learning together; something unfinished from before. Though beneficial to each, it had not been the assumed outcome for either.
To make the most out of any reading we receive, researching or taking classes regarding
psychic abilities as well as waiting a period before we jump emotionally into a reading can be especially helpful. We can also bring a tape recorder or something to write with to compare notes later on.
The most important thing to remember is when we are setting aside valuable time and money for a reading or anything else, coming with a with a clean slate and open mind can become one of our greatest asset in getting the most out of both. Not only will we be able to communicate more effectively with the reader, but receive the most in what our guides have to offer us.
