April Kae Review

There's a new dazzling singer in the industry with a distinctively modern pop-dance edge, an inspiring connection to classic soul music, and a powerful voice that shines a spectrum of experience far beyond her chronological age. Her name is April Kae and she is currently on her way to pop music stardom.

Growing up in San Diego County, April was captivated by the R&B prowess of artists like Aretha Franklin and Luther Vandross. These inspiring voices led her to move to Los Angeles to pursue a musical career and enroll in the vocal program at Musicians Institute in Hollywood. While there, April auditioned for American Idol Season 10 and made it to "Hollywood Week" before being sent home to seek a path in the music industry in her own way. After being thankful for the overall experience, April has become a dedicated songwriter and concentrates on rigorious daily writing sessions and strives to complete a song a day.

With her first single, titled "The Writings on the Wall," recently released, April Kae's voice rises above celestial synths and a propulsive kick drum. The hypnotic choruses and song lyrics signify the power of transcending negative relationships while moving on and having confidence. The vocal production of Paulette McWilliams helps the talented pop singer command her sound with a soaring authority, while producer “Bassy” Bob Brockman builds a shimmering tower of sound within the song's deep, rhythmic foundation. "The Writings on the Wall" was recorded in the legendary Capitol studios in Hollywood and can be found on iTunes, Youtube, and April's personal website.

Not only extremely talented in singing and songwriting, April Kae also encompasses a vital life force, a compelling optimism and an endearing philosophy. She has explained that she wants to teach female empowerment, set a good example for young girls, and still be appealing to men - all through the power of her music. She has said "You can be sexy without being submissive. You can be strong without being hard. You can be exceptional, and always appreciate the exceptionalism in others. Let’s get together and lift one another up.”
