Monochromatic Christmas trees

Start by gathering all of your ornaments together. If you already have a color scheme you'd like to use (white is popular) then you only need to separate the ornaments that are mostly that color. If you haven't decided upon a color yet, then separate all of the colors and simply choose the one that has your favorite ornaments, or the one that has the most of any one color.

The beauty of a monochromatic tree is that each individual ornament gets more attention. When all of your Christmas tree decorations are one color, their individual textures and shapes will be more prominent and the overall look will be one of uniformity and style.

Department stores and Christmas stores often feature monochrome Christmas decorations, with the most popular being all-white ornaments and decorations. An all-blue Christmas tree is also popular, especially for families who are celebrating Hannukah and Christmas.

Since blue and white are the colors of the flag of Israel, some blended families will decorate a Pine tree with Symbols of Judaism and colors that honor their heritage, while illuminating a room with festive glow, like a Christmas Tree.

Another popular color for a monochromatic Christmas tree is the red Christmas Tree. Red is the opposite of Green on a color wheel and the result of combining a green tree with red lights and ornaments is a very put-together tree that looks beautiful and festive.

Silver and Gold also make a god monochrome Christmas tree look. Separately, or together 9although if you're using them together, it's not truly a one-color Christmas Tree, is it? Try spray painting mini pine cones in golds and silvers and stringing them up with fishing line for a nearly natural garland that will compliment your heavy metal Christmas tree.

With six daughters, I've been tempted to do a pink themed Christmas Tree. I've seen monochrome trees decorated in purples, greens and even blacks. No matter what color you decide to use, the look is striking and beautiful.
