Now that you can find your books, let's move on to these new arrivals....
The Cursed One (St. Martin's) (ISBN 0312935757) by Ronda Thompson is up first, a late December arrival, with the fourth of her Wulf brothers, Gabriel, rescuing Amelia Collingsworth on her wedding night from something posing as her new (and newly-dead) husband. The things after her track them as they finally make their escape, but Amelia doesn't know that Gabriel has his own dangerous secret he keeps as he tries to get her to safety. Amelia is an interesting heroine, but the ending of this one left a lot to be desired. Rather than neatly tie up their story and the series, it leaves things wide open to another tale, possibly more. This one wasn't for me, I'm afraid.
A Babe in Ghostland by Lisa Cach (Pocket) (ISBN 9780743470902) is next, with psychic Megan Barrows drooling over the hunk in her antiques store. Until Case Lambert asks her to check out his haunted house and mentions her lousy ex. Of course, at that point, she ought to boot him out and be done, right? No, apparently, Megan is a sucker for a pretty face. This one is cute, with a little bit of a mystery thrown in for good measure, but it wasn't a keeper for me. I just didn't love it.
Dark Angel by Lucy Blue (Pocket) (ISBN 9781416511960) is next, with Gareth off to the Highlands to find his father's murderer, and ending up left for dead. Vampiress Roxanna comes to his rescue, intending him to be her food. How romantic. Not. While this one isn't as dark as the previous tale in the series, I still didn't find it to my liking. There are vampire tales and series I've enjoyed, and, unfortunately, more yet that I didn't.
I've got several historical romances ready to share with you next time out, and am working on some contemporaries for next week. Until next time, happy reading!
