  • How do the colors in the photo affect your emotions?

  • What does the lightning make you think about?

  • Do you feel that this a threatening storm or the beauty of nature?

  • Why does this create a positive or negative reaction?


Think about the following before you respond creatively to the photo.

  • Are the horses communicating with each other?

  • If so, what are they saying?

  • What do you believe we might think we hear them saying?

  • Does their position in the photo lead you to believe they are friends, relatives, new acquaintances, or enemies?

  • What makes you think this is a happy portrait vs. an unemotional photo of a field with two horses?

  • What does this photo make you think?

  • Is the bridge opening or closing?

  • What is the significance or meaning of your view of opening vs. closing?
