The folks at Hot Off The Press have given us yet another book chock full of ideas. The book contains 16 ideas, heavyweight papers, vellum sheets and 30 die cuts designed to fit perfectly with their Dazzles™ line of stickers. Dazzles™ are intricate foil stickers, available in both silver and gold. Each sheet has several stickers that co-ordinate to achieve a variety of delicate looks. You can also mix and match the stickers to create even more projects. Although the stickers look delicate and lacy, they are surprisingly sturdy. I had no trouble removing the stickers and placing them on my chosen surfaces. I even was able to carefully reposition a few of them with no tearing. This book includes basic instructions for using the Dazzles™ as well as the directions for the projects offered. Most of the needed supplies are included in the book, but you will definitely need your own adhesive, scissors and a paper trimmer or cutting mat, ruler and craft knife. Some of the projects call for extra embellishments such as brads, ribbon and inks, but you can always substitute whatever you has handy. Here is one of the cards from the book.

I substituted a pink brad for a white one, and adhered my tag instead of using string. I also changed the inside, as I wanted more space to write.
Here is a card made with the left over papers from the first card. I used the Silver Stacker Rose Stickers for this one.

Each of the Dazzles™ has an idea pictured on the package. I adapted the idea on the package to make this card from the Silver Stacked Oval.
All I added to the Dazzle™ was black and white cardstock and a short length of black satin ribbon.Hot Off the Press also sells a transfer sheet that allows you to use the “innies” or the inside pieces from the stickers. I haven’t been able to find the sheet for sale yet, but I definitely want to get one. This will allow me to double the mileage I get out of a sticker sheet. The Dazzles™ are all available separately.
I like the fact that the die cuts in the book are sized perfectly to fit the stickers, and there is even a picture to show you which sticker to use with each die cut.
This tag took only a few minutes to make. I simply punched out my shape, used an emery board to remove any little “nibs” left over from the punching, and added my Dazzle™. It will be perfect on the front of a journal.I’m sure I’ll be reaching for this book often. The hard part will be deciding which Dazzles™ to keep on hand!
