Happy Occhi by Petra Tornack-Zimmermann

"Happy Occhi"
Square motifs in tatted lace by Petra Tornack-Zimmermann 2013

Pattern shared is Sonnenschein from page 20

This new book is printed in German but an English translation of the directions is available after market. It is an A4 paperback with 32 pages and 26 patterns with black and white illustrations and lace images in grey tones. Each of these patterns is a square tatted motif. Each motif can stand alone for decorating or embellishing purposes and for jewelry. However, they are ideal to be combined in multiple repeats to create large lace pieces suitable for table runners, table clothes, bed spreads and more!

Although the basics are not taught, advance instructions are given for "wrapping" as in split ring tatting, making the last difficult join in outward facing rings, a central split ring and a split chain. All these techniques are used in the patterns.

I was pleased to receive this review copy of the book from Petra herself. It will make a good addition to my personal reference library.
