I wrote How To Give Yourself The POWER To Succeed in 1996. It grew out of my discovery that I was not the only person who seemed to have a love/hate relationship with success. I’d spent years working toward success and happiness only to consistently yank the rug of success out from under myself. I’d never heard of a concept called self-sabotage. Really, why would I intentionally sabotage my own success?Years of personal research and talking with hundreds of other women, I found that self-sabotage was more common than I’d ever thought. Sabotaging success and happiness seemed to be rooted in feelings of being unworthy and undeserving of the rewards that came along success. You know, rewards like contentment, happiness and unlimited prosperity. The mind’s unconscious need to put us back in our unworthy and undeserving comfort zone was stronger than our conscious desire to succeed and live our dreams.
I finally figured out how to recognize self-sabotage and some of the proactive things we can do to conquer that unconscious need to stay in a negative cycle of sabotaging the good things in life.
Here’s a look at what some of the chapters hold:
A Success Tolerance Quotient Quiz runs throughout the book to help understand how positively or negatively you maybe perceiving success.
Learning how to make peace with the past so you can go forward in positive ways
Understanding how your role within the family formed your perceived role in life
Truly understanding the power of your mind and the role it plays in success or failure
How nurturing healthy self-esteem is the key to nurturing success and happiness
This book is for you if:
You’re not succeeding the way you know you can
You’re not finding peace, balance and happiness in your life
You seem to yank the rug of success out from under yourself
You “botch up” the good things when things are going well
You don’t know how to achieve guilt-free success.
I wrote How To Give Yourself The POWER To Succeed for all of us who can’t seem to find that something we’re doing, saying, thinking or believing that feeds the unconscious need to make life a struggle. I found the answers I was looking for and hopefully this book will do the same for you.
