The Police Announce Their Last Concert

If you've never seen The Police in concert, you'd better hurry up. Their latest reunion tour has begun, and it will soon end. The Police planned about 50 concerts all over Europe and North America this year. Last year, their concert tour was seen by about 2 million people and made over $200 million. This year is expected to be even bigger. Experts are predicting that it will be among the most successful tours ever, making more than $300 million.

In the face of all this success, the Police recently announced that an August concert will be the final show ever played by the Police. The New York concert doesn't have an announced date yet. The exact date will be announced after the final show currently scheduled on August 5th.

The announcement was made in a joint press conference with New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg and the members of the Police. The band’s final show will raise funds for New York’s public TV stations.

It was also announced at the press conference that The Police are making a donation of $1 million to the city for tree planting. This comes on the heels of bad publicity for Sting's Rainforest Foundation charity. It was recently rated one of the worst charities to give to because it gives out a low percentage of the funds it raises.

Every Breath You Take: The Classics is a collection of the biggest hits from The Police.

The Police Inside Out is a documentary about the band shot by Stewart Copeland, the band's drummer.
