Sisters So Sweet Review

Jaime and Jason Salas are the proud parents of two wonderful children adopted from Guatemala. During their adoption process, they created a cookbook to help cover the costs of the adoption.

Bon Appetit Sisters so Sweet is a cookbook filled with love, hope, and lots of delicious recipes. The cookbook was created to help raise funds for the adoption of their two precious girls from Guatemala. A list of how they are using the funds appears at the start of the cookbook. It helps to see all of the different costs that are associated with adoption. It also makes the reason behind the cookbook so much more real—two beautiful and loving little girls.

Family and friends of Jaime and Jason contributed recipes for this wonderful cookbook. The table of contents includes recipes for:
The recipes are easy to read and follow. Each chapter has a page at the end where you can write your own recipes, or jot down the page number of favorite recipes in the book. All recipes are indexed at the back of the cookbook, making it easy to look up a recipe by category.

One unique feature of this cookbook is a section called “Making the Right Food Choices”. You'll find information on decreasing your fat and intake, a vegetable cooking chart, a summary of herbs, and a calorie counter. These extra features really do come in handy when meal planning for your family.

Another unique feature of Bon Appetite Sisters so Sweet is that some of the recipes have special symbols by the title. Jaime and Jason have created the following symbols for certain recipes in the book:
These symbols definitely give the recipes a personal touch, in addition to the family member or friend's name that accompanies each recipe. It feels like you are part of the family, sharing in their favorite recipe collection.
