Let's refresh some concepts: We have three types of Comparisons: Comparisons of Equality: Imagine you want to say: "Mary is as tall as John". We are using as + adjective + as. In Spanish we'll say: "María es tan alta como Juan.", and the Spanish pair of words is: tan + adjective + como. There are two more comparisons forms: Comparisons of Superiority The formula for this type of comparatives is: more + adjective/adverb/noun + than más + adjetivo/adverbio/sustantivo + que. For example: "Mary is more inteligent than John" "María es más inteligente que John" Comparisons of Inferiority These is the form: less + adjective/adverb/noun + than menos + adjetivo/adverbio/sustantivo + que. For example: "Mary is less inteligent than John" "María es menos inteligente que John" But... when using comparisons and numbers, the second component changes from "que" to "de", in Comparisons of superiority and Comparisons of inferiority. And the estructure changes a little bit: From más + adjetivo/adverbio/sustantivo + que to más de+ number. Let's see some examples:
