Clay Walker - Concert Review

Living in Houston Iím lucky enough to be able to attend some of the best concerts at a reasonable price during the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, tonight was no exception. Clay Walker did a great job right out of the chute.

Say what you will about his personal life and how it tends to spill over into his professional life, I loved the show tonight. Both of his daughters came out and sang with him. MaClay Walker has a set of pipes on her and if she chooses I see her having a career in music, she sang the Faith Hill/Tim McGraw hit Like We Never Loved Before with Clay (though you couldnít hear him, I donít think his mike was working). Skylor came out next and sang La Bamba with her dad and she was adorable.

Clay started the show with Live, Laugh, Love and that set the tone for the rest of the show. His song Live Until I Die was the hardest for him to get thru, he told the audience he had written for his Grandmother and he couldnít keep the tears from flowing, he lost his Grandmother last week. He and the band started the song but Clay couldnít finish singing the first verse, the audience picked up the song for him until he got his composure back. The women in the audience were in heaven, he definitely knows how to play to the crowd.

His latest hit was a crowd pleaser 'Fore She Was Mama had people on their feet singing and dancing along with Clay. There was a mention of Jessica, his girlfriend, before he sang She Likes It in the Morning, you can tell this is a man in love and happy. During the show, he had his doctor come out and accept a check for $100,000.00 for MS research. He credits his doctors and the research being done in the Texas Medical Center for helping him to be able to do the things he does and being able to live his life the way he chooses with very limited restrictions.
