Forget-Me-Not

This flower made me think of forget-me-nots which are Alaska's state flower. In pink and white or pink and yellow, I imagine they would look much like wild roses. The instructions are a bit wordy, but trust me, it's a lot easier then it sounds!
You will need
needles, I used my trusty size 12 shorts
thread, I used white Silamide
2 colors of size 11 seedbeads. I used a transparent yellow and a silverlined light blue. Because of the multiple thread passes, I recommend Japanese seed beads.
cc means center color, and pc means petal color.
Start by making a circle of 5 cc beads, knot the thread. I left my tails long as you can see in the picture because I'll be sewing it on to something later.

Round 2: Add a cc bead between each of the beads, bring your needle and thread back through the first bead added on this round.

Round 3: Add 3 cc beads go into next "up" bead from the previous round. Repeat around. After adding the last 3 beads, pass the needle and thread through the first 2 beads added in this round so you are coming out of the top of a 3 bead loop.

Round 4: Add 4 pc beads, pass through the middle bead in the next 3 bead loop, repeat around, at the end of this round, pass the needle and thread through the first four beads added so your next bead will be right on top of the middle cc bead from the previous round.

Round 5: Add 1 cc bead, pass needle and thread through next 4 pc beads, repeat around, at the end of this round, pass needle and thread through the first pc bead on the 4 bead loop.

Round 6: Add 5 pc beads, go back down the first 4 beads added, pass needle and thread through the next pc bead on the 4 bead loop, add 6 beads, pass needle and thread through first 5 of those, and pass needle and thread through the next bead on the 4 bead loop, add 5 beads, pass needle and thread through the first 4 of those, pass needle and thread through the next 3 beads (last bead on the 4 bead loop, cc bead, and first pc bead on the next 4 bead loop), repeat around. After you add the last 5 beads, go through the next pc bead on the 4 bead loop, and then through the cc bead.

Now you've got a spiky thing which is really sort of neat looking on it's own. It's this last round that brings it all together into a flower.
Round 7: Add 5 pc beads, and go through the top bead on the first "spike", add 1 pc bead, go through the top bead on the 6 bead spike, add 1 bead, go through the top bead on the last 5 bead spike on that petal, add 5 beads, and pass needle and thread through the cc bead, repeat around for all 5 petals.
Weave ends in.

I'm going to be putting mine on a hairstick. You could add these to hair slides or shoe clips or make a few and sprinkle them on a bracelet.
