Quilt as You Go Technique.

I have received a query from a number of readers of the weekly newsletter that I post, to explain the Quilt as You Go method of quilting your quilt. There’s nothing new in the concept of quilting each block first, then joining the blocks together. The pioneering women of America practiced that method when travelling long distances in wagons.

With the advent of the sewing machine and especially the long arm sewing machine, the Quilt as You Go method has taken a back seat; until now.

This technique is getting another airing around the world and many quilters (including myself) are delighting in the easiness of quilting a block at a time, and then finally piecing the quilted blocks together to finish the quilt.

Anyway, I’ve been surfing and I’ve found some interesting sites that show the many different version of the technique called Quilt as You Go. I have linked them here, in no particular order or method.
