The Money Factor
The most attractive incentive of an all-inclusive vacation means that you don’t have to pay for meals, drinks, or certain extras. The majority of AI resorts, like SuperClubs Resorts, offer unlimited alcohol and non-motorized sports. Restaurants are included and may require reservations for certain times. How carefree is that? No arguing about the price of a steak or that double shot in your margarita.
Some ultra-luxury resorts, like the Palace Resorts in Mexico, offer AI packages that include tours, golf, and spa treatments. How’s that for some romance!
The Child Factor
First rule of thumb, if you are going on a short trip, LEAVE THE KIDS AT HOME. If you bring them along because you have no choice, be prepared to forgo some pleasure. Remember, just because you are parents (or not) doesn’t mean you aren’t HUSBAND and WIFE, or SIGNIFICANT OTHERS, or Partners. (You pick what you want to call yourselves.) There is hope for those of you that take children on a romantic getaway, its called a Kids Club. Most all-inclusive resorts have them and even offer evening sitters. Some charge an extra fee. That’s alright with me. I would pay to be able to eat a hot meal in peace.
The Bottom Line
All-Inclusive Vacations mean a worry free vacation, but that is only if you research and earn the leisure time before you book your trip. Not all resorts are the same, just as not all automobiles are the same. You can book a Lexus convertible, or you can book a Honda Civic. The Lexus will be a smooth ride and have all the bells and whistles. The Honda will be basic and will only include air conditioning if you ask for it.
Romance to some may be a single stemmed red rose. To others it’s standing on a beach with the one you love, holding hands, watching the sun set. Romance can be found at any resort, with the right person. The setting is there waiting for you and yours. So go on that vacation of a lifetime or that weekend getaway…and bring romance into your life.
