Here's a Jambalaya recipe that will have your mouth watering. Begin with:
1 Lb Smoked Sausage
3 Large Onions, chopped
3 Large Tomatoes, chopped
1 Clove Garlic, minced
1 Lb Shrimp, peeled & deveined
3 Cups Water
1/2 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
1/2 Teaspoon Seafood Seasoning
2 Cups Rice, white long-grain
3 Green Onions, chopped
Cook sausage in a skillet with about 1/2 inch of water for 15 minutes. Drain and slice into serving size pieces. Put slices into pot.
Add water, garlic powder, pepper and seafood seasoning. Bring to a boil. Add sausage and rice.
When mixture boils again, stir, cover, and reduce heat. Simmer 30-45 minutes or until done. Since it doesn't take long for shrimp to cook, add them and sprinkle chopped green onions on top about 15 minutes before Jambalaya is done.
