Because modeling was a "thin" industry she sacrificed her health pushing her body below 100 pounds. A weight that is unfathomable to the average woman who is anywhere from a size 10 - 14 depending. Doing this, made her a successful working model, but she wasn't as happy. In an enigmatic moment she decided to change her ways and these days her body runs at a robust 165 pounds. She's happier and at, what she considers, her ideal weight. And guess what? That's right, she's still a successful model.
Crystal Renn learned the hard way that she can have curves and a career in modeling. She is one of the United States most successful up and coming commercial models working exclusively for Ford Models, New York. The pages of Vogue have framed her image a minimum of six times and she's strutted her stuff on the runway for high fashions designers like Jean Paul Gaulteir. She's also regularly decorates the fashion pages of Lane Bryant, Torrid, Dolce & Gabbana and Saks Fifth Avenue.
Crystal Renn lives in Brooklyn, New York where she can eat what she wants when she wants and still be in the center of action, or not. Advocacy is another role she has inhabited, appearing on the day time talk show Oprah, in an episode titled "Breaking the Mold" to talk about her battle with being thin, the modeling industry and being true to herself. Without expecting it, Crystal Renn has become a role model for young girls and women worldwide. Plus size or not, she's drop dead gorgeous. Stats:
