Super Mario Sunshine a Hit

The GameCube has found its new shining star in the game Super Mario Sunshine. Combining traditional Mario play with great graphics leads to tons of fun for all ages!

Most players will recognize the basic idea, loved by millions of gamers who were addicted to Mario 64. You're Mario, the jumping, Yoshi-riding Italian plumber. The world is desperately in need of saving, and only you can do it. You find coins and other tokens by jumping, bouncing, and Yoshi-riding around various levels.

The gameplay is brilliant. You carry around in essence a watergun on your back, and wash away the slime of the world. The slime is gooey, you can slide through it and leave trails, or walk through it and leave footprints! Some monsters create slime, and many spots in the world have slime markings that, once washed away, reveals bonusses.

The puzzles are pretty logical and straightforward. Kick the spiky fruit into the soccer-goal. Get Yoshi to eat fruits to get into new areas. Shoot water at the slime to open doors, and at monsters to destroy them. The characters are always thrilled to meet you and enthusiastically thankful when you help them. Unlike many games where you are dragged through a world that ends with a "and more evil still awaits!", this game is truly great fun to play.

Highly recommended as puzzle-solving and button-mashing fun for all ages!
