- Double-click on the envelope to enter the Edit in Place mode for the Movie Clip symbol. The scene should be grayed out and the small envelope graphic should be selected. Also, you will see a new empty Timeline for this Movie Clip. This Timeline can be as long and complex as you would like. But when we go back to the main website's movie Timeline, we will still only have one frame. This Movie Clip's Timeline will be "stuffed" into the first frame of the main movie.
- Go to the Timeline and rename Layer 1 to "email animation".
- Right-click on Frame 10 of the Timeline and choose Insert Keyframe from the pop-up menu. Click and drag the envelope graphic to another position on top of the computer screen.
- Repeat the previous step for Frame 20.
In the last frame of the animation, which will be Frame 30, we want the envelope to return to its original position in Frame 1. The easiest way to make sure that we have the correct position is to copy and paste the original from Frame 1. - Click on Frame 1 and the envelope graphic will automatically be selected. From the Menubar, click Edit, Copy. This will copy the image and its position on the Stage into the clipboard.
- Right-click on Frame 30 and choose Insert Keyframe. From the Menubar, click Edit, Clear to remove the envelope that is now on the Stage in this frame. Now, click Edit, Paste in Place to paste the envelope in the exact position that we need to match Frame 1.
- To create the Motion Tween animation is very easy. First hold down the Shift key and click on Frame 1 and 30 to select all of the frames on the Timeline. With all the frames selected, right-click on any frame and choose Create Motion Tween from the pop-up menu.
