Bentonite clay is a useful thing to have on hand if you are trying to live a more natural life. It is useful for things like beauty routines, first aid, and it also aids in our body's immunity. Keep it on hand and use it every day.
Bentonite clay is made from volcanic ash that is found in Wyoming and Montana. When you order clay be sure it comes from a reputable company and that the clay is "fully active". Also, be sure it is mined in a way that does not draw unnecessary metals into the clay. Do research to make sure the company you buy from is reputable. It is also important to note that clay should not be stored in metal, as it will draw out the metal and absorb it into the clay.
Great for skin uses such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis.
Combine 2-3 tablespoons of clay with the same amount of water and apply as a mask. Leave on for 5-10 minutes and wash off. Alternatively, you could soak in a tub of water with some clay added. It will draw out toxins while you sit there and relax.
Improves healthy teeth and gums.
Natural toothpastes often contain clay. Clay binds bacteria and toxins and removes them from the mouth.
After washing your hair, combine 2-3 tablespoons of clay to an equal amount of water and apply it to your hair. Leave it on for five minutes and then rinse.
Heals cuts, bug bites, and sores.
Make a paste with a few tablespoons of clay and some water. Apply the paste to the cuts or sores. This works incredibly well if you are dealing with chicken pox. The summer will be here soon and this works great to stop bug bite itches.
Relieves digestive issues such as nausea, irritable bowel, food poisoning, those afflicted with bacterial infections, etc.
The clay binds to the toxins and draws it out. It is also said to help heal the gut lining and boosts the probiotics or "good bacteria" living in the gut. Take 1/2-1 teaspoon of clay with some water and drink. Also, it has been known to purify tap water if you drink it, taking out the fluoride and other potential toxins.
Bentonite clay is really another must have supply to have in your house. From beauty issues, to clearing toxins, and helping with gut issues, it is a versatile natural living product.
