Game Night! Our group of friends love to play games. We have more fun and a better attitude after a night of laughter and weird words.
We play several games including Mexican Train and Rummy Cube... but when we are up for a real challenge we play the Scrabble Crossword Game.
I admit that we do keep several dictionaries handy. We have some very smart friends... but I don't always trust that they know what they are spelling.
My biggest problem is that I am just about the worlds worst speller. Along with my poor handwriting I give my Sister the teacher, a headache. Thank goodness for spell check and computers.
I finally broke down and bought the Deluxe Premier Edition so I would be comfortable leaving it out all the time. We don't have small children any more and the dogs aren't interested in the tiles... so it looks good on the table. Like having a chess set, only this is something we actually play.
The tiles store easily away in the drawer and the top swivels so everyone can easily see all the words with out getting a crick in their neck trying to look upside down.
The wood is very nice and the tiles feel like ivory. Their is a tiny gold toned grid on top of the playing area that keeps the tiles from shifting. Oh... and it comes with it's own timer, just to keep everything honest.
It is a fairly expensive game... and plays just the same as the old style paper board. But it looks great, and anyone who loves Scrabble or Crosswords will think your pretty special when they open the Premier Wood Scrabble Crossword Game
on Christmas Day.
