Holiday Gift Guide - Kids Cards Games

Let's face it. Kids can be hard to buy for when it comes to Christmas. If the kids on your list are like the ones on mine, they already have a ton of toys, which makes it difficult to find something for them. When in doubt of what to buy, I always like to buy a card game.

There are a lot of card games made especially for kids that are fun to play and even have some educational value. Here are a few card game gift ideas for kids.

TMNT Card Game is the over-sized card game that features the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Players take turns playing ninja turtles on villains in hopes of being the person to place the last ninja turtle on the card. That person gets to collect the bad guy and score points. It's easy, fast, fun, and great for the TMNT fan.

What's Wild?! is a rummy based card game that challenges player to collect three herds(animal cards) or caravans(cards of the same skin) in order to complete their hands. Play ends after ten rounds with the person with the lowest score winning the game.

Xeko: Mission Indonesia is a collectible card game that features endangered animals from a specific region of the world. The starter set comes with everything you need to play. Booster packs can be bought as well. Although it's not Pokemon or Yu-Gi-Oh!, Xeko features gorgeous cards and game play based on the law of the jungle so to speak.

Zeus on the Loose is a fun, fast-paced card game that will have kids doing math and keeping an eye on Zeus. Players play cards on Mt. Olympus and must add their card to the value on the stack. Cards or even the total on Mt. Olympus will allow players to grab the Zeus statue.

Wiz Kidz features two sets of cards: questions and a letters deck. Each turn a player draws a letter and a question. Then players must think up as many answers that begin with the letter. Got to love these games that require thinking but are so much fun that kids don't mind playing for hours.
