Fool Moon by Jim Butcher is the second in the Harry Dresden series and takes place six months after the events of Storm Front and as such continues to explore some of the issues between Harry and Karrin from the first book. Foremost is the issue of trust-- can Karrin really trust Harry? Throughout the book she continues to question just how truthful he is with her. And while Harry tries to do as he see right (even when it goes against his sense of survival) he always seems to get himself into trouble.
My Recommendation
Jim Butcher's Fool Moon is a quick paced and action filled follow up to Storm Front. There's enough of a separate plot to hold it's own and just enough details to tie it into the events of the previous story. While some of the character elements build on the previous book, it's not necessary to have read Storm Front. But both books are such a quick and enjoyable read that you might as well start with the first in the series. I highly recommend both Fool Moon and Storm Front.
