Charity Giving - The Fisher House Foundation

Many knowledgeable people contend that it is better to give than to receive. When giving without want, it is said, you will later receive 10 fold over what you have given. Regardless of whether one believes this happens in reality, it is good to give.

Types of Giving:

Whether giving of time, money, items, foodstuffs, or some other derivative, any little bit can help to make a difference in the life of someone in need. I intend to cover this in detail in a later article.

If you have more time than money, you may volunteer your time and services to a number of different charities in any number of different outlets. Let your interests and your conscience guide your way in choosing.

If you have more money than time, you can certainly set aside a small sum each month and send a check to the charity or cause of your choice. Even one dollar given by one person can go a long way when multiplied by many people choosing to give.

In that vain, I have a strong recommendation for you, dear readers. Give to the Fisher House.

The Fisher House Foundation:

If you arrived here magically without knowing where you are, understand that this is the Veterans Section Of BellaOnline.com. I am committed to being a voice for Veterans, current Military Personnel, and their families.

The Fisher House Foundation has a strong track record of providing for the voices of all three. Their mission is to support military families and soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines who are receiving extended medical care. I feel very strongly about giving back to these guys and gals who have sacrificed so much, be it mind and/or body.

You may view The Fisher House website and their mission here:

If you’d prefer to call or write, look below:

Phone number: (301) 294-8560 or (888) 294-8560

Address: 1401 Rockville Pike, Suite 600 | Rockville, MD 20852

I consider it a non-partisan, non-political, and unquestionable duty to support this charity if you don't already. I can get pretty fired up about it, so I'll stop right here and finish by asking you to consider supporting the Fisher House, either nationally or locally or both. It is the right thing to do.

Thank you for your consideration, and please let me know if you have given.
