Orange-Glazed Carrots Recipe

Slow-Cooked Orange-Glazed Carrots

Baby carrots are lightly spiced and gently simmered in sweet orange marmalade in this outstanding side dish for your holiday meal.

  • 2 pounds baby carrots
  • 1/2 cup orange marmalade
  • 2 T. orange juice
  • 1 T. butter
  • 2 T. light brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 2 T. cornstarch
  • 2 T. water

Preparation -
Combine the baby carrots, orange marmalade, orange juice, melted butter, brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and pepper in a slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for about 6 hours or until the carrots are tender. Whisk the cornstarch and water together until smooth. Stir this into the carrot mixture in the slow cooker. Set the slow cooker to high. Cook for about 30 more minutes or until the sauce is thickened and the carrots are glazed.
