Exotic Truffles Recipes



Chocolate truffles can be an expensive indulgence when bought at an upscale chocolatier. Become your own chocolatier and create these exotic truffles at home. These truffles do not require any shaping or handling of the chocolate. You simply fill a candy cup and then refrigerate.

Exotic Truffles Recipes

Ginger and Toasted Sesame Truffles Recipe
Makes 13 truffle cups

Ingredients:

6 oz. good quality chocolate
1/3 cup heavy cream
Small paper candy cups

Directions:
1. Heat cream over low heat until it just starts to bubble.
2. Pour heated cream over chocolate.
3. Allow it to sit for a few minutes to melt.
4. Stir until smooth.
5. Stir in 1/4 cup chopped candied ginger.
6. Spoon into candy cups. If you have a mold you can use the mold so the truffles keep their shape.
7. Sprinkle with toasted sesame.
8. Refrigerate for several hours until firm.
9. Store any leftover truffles in the refrigerator.

Cayenne Pepper Truffles Recipe
Makes 13 truffle cups

Ingredients:

6 oz. good quality chocolate
1/3 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Small paper candy cups

Directions:

1. Heat cream over low heat until it just starts to bubble.
2. Pour heated cream over chocolate.
3. Allow it to sit for a few minutes to melt.
4. Stir until smooth.
5. Stir in cayenne pepper. You may want to adjust the amount of pepper depending on how hot or mild you like it.
6. Spoon into candy cups. If you have a mold you can use the mold so the truffles keep their shape.
7. Refrigerate for several hours until firm.
8. Store any leftover truffles in the refrigerator.

Red Wine Truffles Recipe
Makes 13 truffle cups

Ingredients:

6 oz. good quality chocolate
1/4 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons of your favorite red wine
Small paper candy cups

Directions:
1. Heat cream over low heat until it just starts to bubble.
2. Pour heated cream over chocolate.
3. Allow it to sit for a few minutes to melt.
4. Stir until smooth.
5. Stir in the red wine until smooth.
6. Spoon into candy cups. If you have a mold you can use the mold so the truffles keep their shape.
7. Refrigerate for several hours until firm.
8. Store any leftover truffles in the refrigerator.
