“The Young & the Restless” is the best CBS soap opera this summer. Each storyline on Y&R is interesting and there is an awful lot happening. I’ll start with the threesome: Chloe, Lily and Cane. From day one, Chloe has completely disrespected Lily, and was very negative toward her relationship with Cane. Chloe is a very lonely girl who basically wants Lily’s life. The way she schemed her way into Lily’s party was an act of total desperation. Why would you want to attend a party when it is abundantly clear that you are not welcome? And now Chloe is claiming to be pregnant with Cane’s baby. I find that very hard to believe! Cane is clueless as to what has happened, and it’s clear that Chloe orchestrated the entire thing solely to her benefit.
I really thought Amber was on a steady path after getting serious with Daniel. Amber was a scheming teenager on “The Bold & the Beautiful,” and debuted on Y&R as a complete manipulator. She quickly figured out that Cane was worth money and schemed her way into marrying him. But somehow, during their very brief marriage, she fell in love with Cane. But by that time it was too late -- Cane had already figured out the truth about her and sent her packing. Now Amber has a real and healthy relationship with Daniel and things are going smoothly. Or at least they were until she and Adrian had a little too much to drink and ended up sleeping together -- at the Restless Style studio, of all places! Amber shouldn’t debate whether or not to tell Daniel about her indiscretion, because Phyllis has already figured out that Amber slept with Adrian and it won’t take long for Phyllis to inform her son.
Vincent Irizarry (David Chow) is leaving “The Young & the Restless.” This would explain David’s extremely erratic behavior at the moment. David is out of control with his gambling habits and Nikki is in complete denial about her husband. It seems Nikki is hanging on to the relationship solely to avoid the embarrassment of being dumped and repeatedly lied to. But now other people are aware of David’s gambling habit: Victoria, Gloria, Brad and Paul. Since it is apparent that David will leave this summer, it would be great if in the final scene he revealed to all that he was indeed Ji Min’s killer.
