Thanksgiving Turkey Applique Pattern

Meet Tom Turkey

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays so, in honor of Thanksgiving, I have designed an appliqué pattern of a turkey that you can use to make a seasonal wall-hanging or placemats for your table. The pattern is designed to be used with the fusible appliqué method, or you can cut the pieces from felt. Use a machine or hand blanket stitch to finish the edges of the pieces.

The image above shows how the finished appliqué might look once the pieces are assembled together and gives you some general guidelines for color selection.

Below, you will see the pattern templates. To save ink, rather than printing out this webpage, I would recommend right-clicking on the images and saving the image files to your computer and then printing them out (there are four files: the placement key and three sets of patterns). If you prefer, I have also created a .pdf file with all of the pattern templates in one file. You will need to have Adobe Reader installed on your computer in order to open the file (you can download the Adobe Reader here.

This is the placement key that shows you how to assemble the pieces.

For some ideas for using this design in a project, refer to this list of Thanksgiving projects that I put together recently.
