My eyelashes are thick enough – not sparse but not ever referred to as luxurious. The main problem is that they are short and fine, so I have had to rely on layers of mascara since I was old enough to start caring about my looks. Usually three or four coats of my current favorite will give me the effect I’m looking for.
My esthetician has recently informed me that many types of mascara have a drying effect on the eyelash hairs and often cause the hairs to break. I certainly don’t want my eyelashes to break – they are short enough. Now I look for brands that say something about eyelash condition.
I tried a new mascara from Too Faced called Lash Injection Pinpoint. Special 3D polymers are said to build water-proof tubes, around each lash ,making it appear thicker and longer. It is said to keep the natural moisture in, preventing dryness and breakage.
The results of my first trial with Lash Injection Pinpoint were not as attractive as I’d hoped. My lashes got stuck together in several places causing a clumpy look. I almost gave up on the product but thought I should give it another try.
The second trial was more successful. I was careful to use a steady hand and to sweep the wand straight out along my eyelashes. The wand is very thin so I took the point of it and coated the little lashes at the corners of my eyes. The product coated each lash individually and looked nice. My eyelashes were still not as noticeable as I wanted them. I applied one more coat of Lash Injection and that did the trick. My lashes appeared thicker but they were flexible and not so stiff that I would have to worry about breakage. I was happy with the result.
Removing the mascara was surprising. It did not melt and smudge all over my eye when I cleansed my face and it was not difficult to remove like other waterproof mascara. The tiny eyelash tubes just slid of my lashes. It required no extra rubbing or cleansing.
I am happy with Lash Injection Pinpoint mascara and give it an A+ rating.
