I have our last September romance this time out, Kathy Love's I Want You to Want Me (Brava). Vampire brother Vittorio Ridgewood gets his story told this month. Sculptor Erika Todd believes that Vittorio, brother to her best friend's hot new man, might be the 'prince' her tarot reader told he she'd find, but he doesn't seem all that interested in spending private time with her. At least, not at first. Vittorio can't let himself get involved with a mortal woman. Especially not now that some of his previous lovers have turned up dead. Of course, his resolve can't withstand repeated assaults by the enticing Erika. No matter what he tells himself as he agrees to pose for a sculpture--keeping close just to keep her safe...ha! His twisted mother can't accept his repeated rebuffs, and she wants Erika out of her way so she can have Vittorio once and for all. Along with her trademark humor, this one has plenty of steam generated by Erika and her undead love Vittorio, and fans of Love's work will want to grab this one off bookstore shelves. I'm rather intrigued by the evil mother's temporary lover, Maksim. Maybe when Love runs out of vampire siblings, she can take up a demon hero. Anything by Kathy Love is guaranteed to make you smile, perhaps even to laugh out loud, and this one is no exception. It's earned three and a half of Cupid's five arrows.
Until next time, happy reading!
