Princess Party Decorations

If you are going to make this a party fit for a princess, or a queen, you need to create the fairy tale. Think pink, sparkly, beautiful and royal.

For the entrance, make a large sign out of tagboard. This sign should read, "Welcome to the Kingdom of Princess __________ " Use gold markers or paint to create a frame around the sign with curves and flourishes. For an added effect get some tall rectangular boxes and cover with paper. Draw or paint to create a stone effect for mock pillars and mount the sign between the two boxes.

Use plastic pink tablecloths, plates and napkins. Get some pink feather boas and drape them over your curtain rods to create swags. You can also tack them, or use picnic table clips to hold in place, around the table or buffet area. Wrap them around mirrors and pendant lights - avoiding the bulb area to reduce risk of fire.

Create a throne for the guest of honor by draping her special chair with luxurious fabric, a beautiful blanket, or even a silky tablecloth. Tie the covering on with gold roping or sparkly tulle.

As you get going with this, I think you will find yourself getting carried away by the theme. After all, who doesn't want the fairy tale?!
