Halloween Party Game Ideas

Mystery Bowls
Fill individual bowls with bags of pudding, cold pasta, and peeled grapes. Cover each bowl with black felt and place bowls on a table. Have guests take turns closing their eyes and sticking their hands into the bowls to feel the different "mystery parts" in each one. Take pictures of guests' expressions as they reach into the bowls. Priceless!

No-Carve Pumpkin Decorating Activity
Forget the mess of pumpkin carving and let guests creates pumpkin masterpieces without using a knife. Set out containers filled with colorful Halloween decorations. Have a contest for the most creative pumpkins!

Bobbing for Apples
No Halloween party is complete with out a classic game of bobbing for apples! Fill a large tub with water and apples and have fun seeing which guest will get the most apples.

Pumpkin Piñata
If you have time before the party, you can make your own pumpkin piñata using a balloon, newspaper strips, and a flour-water solution. Save time by purchasing a Halloween piñata at your local party store. Fill it up with fun treats and have a blast breaking the pumpkin piñata.

Mummy Wrap
This game is sure to be a hit. Divide guests into groups of three or four and give each group one roll of toilet paper. One person in each group is the mummy. When you say, "go," guests wrap the designated mummy up as fast as they can. First team to finish wins. You can also make up other prizes for best quality or the funniest mummies.

Halloween Musical Chairs
Start the party by playing Halloween music, such as the “Monster Mash” or Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”. Arrange the chairs in a circle, facing outwards, with the guests standing outside of the circle. Once the music starts, players begin walking around the circle. When the music stops the guests must sit in a chair as fast as they can, the person left standing is out of the game, one more chair is removed and the game continues. The last one standing wins!

Halloween is a fun time of the year and a great time to throw a party. There are many ways to host a creative party for kids or adults. Try some of these party games at your next Halloween “spooktacular” party!
