I learn about many vacation giveaways that might make great prizes for honeymooners, but I rarely write about them here at BellaOnline.com, since the contests often have immediate entry deadlines. However, this offer from the Inns of Elegance -- a collection of six romantic bed-and-breakfasts on they bayfront of in St. Augustine, Florida -- is different: honeymooners can win one of 12 prize packages being awarded every month through 2009.

About St. Augustine

I've never been to St. Augustine, but it's on my wish list of Florida destinations to visit (along with Sanibel Island and the Florida Keys). For history buffs, it's a gold mine -- as the nation's oldest city, it's filled with Spanish colonial architecture, cobblestone streets, and old courtyards. This is where Ponce de Leon landed, and where he "discovered" the Fountain of Youth (now a national archaeological park). On the coast between northeast and central-east Florida, St. Augustine is convenient to the Orlando, Jacksonville and Daytona Beach airports.

Besides taking in the magnificent number of historical sights and landmarks, visitors have lots of opportunities to play golf, fish, go surfing, diving or parasailing, or simply relax on 43 miles of pristine beach.

How to Win a St. Augustine Honeymoon

Click on the "Romance is Inn the Air Contest" link below and you'll find an official entry form, where you will submit a 200-word essay, "Why Romance is Inn the Air in St. Augustine."

Representatives from the Inns of Elegance will judge the entries and award one honeymoon prize package monthly through 2009 to the most creative and original entrants. You must be 21 or older to enter. Good luck!
