Lassi is a refreshing, healthy, yogurt based drink that often accompanies the fiery Indian curries to offset the heat. Originating in India, it is still very popular, not only as an accompaniment to hot food, but also as a refreshment between meals. Sweet Lassi can contain any type of fruit, and sometimes also contains rosewater, giving it an exotic taste.
