Holiday Sausage & Biscuits Brunch Bake Recipe

Sausage Biscuits and Gravy is a classic comfort dish. This Holiday Sausage Biscuit Bake has all the flavors of that popular Southern dish, but itís baked in a casserole so that it can be easily served at a brunch buffet. The flavorful sausage gravy gets a head start by using a versatile Basic Cream Soup Mix, and, rather than having to mix and roll homemade biscuits, frozen biscuits are layered on the top.

Since this is perfect for serving at a holiday brunch, Iíve added red and green peppers to make it look festive; if youíre a purist, or arenít making this around the holidays, you can leave these out. Youíll find that this is an easy dish to prepare on a lazy weekend when you arenít in the mood to spend time in the kitchen; you can relax and read the paper while itís baking.
