Teas for the Fall Months

As you may know, I am a true tea lover. Each season brings with it a taste for certain things and a desire for certain comforts. For me, fall is all about warming my soul and fortifying my spirit, which also means warming my body and fortifying my immune system. There are a few teas I enjoy that are perfect for this.

Burdock Root Tea
Burdock is one of my all-time favorite herbal teas. There are so many great things about it. Over the years I have used it for toning my liver and digestive system. I've also used it to help clear my skin, utilizing it's innate ability to neutralize and rid the body of toxins. This is also why it's so great for the the fall months. These properties help your body to continuously filter out toxins so that viruses and bacteria don't stick around and cause problems.

Ginger Tea
Ginger is another simple yet great favorite. Ginger tea is a perfect everyday tea to warm you from deep within and it provides a good array of immune system fortifying nutrients as well. Ginger can be added to any tea to increase it's efficacy or to a two-part herbal combination to help it work better. The reason it does these things so well is because it stimulates circulation and this gets nutrients coursing through your body and to the right places at a much higher rate.

Chai Tea
Chai Tea is actually black tea brewed with different spices. It's a form of tea very popular across the world for both it's wonderful taste and it's many therapeutic properties. Most Chai blends consist of clove, cardamom, ginger, cinnamon, and pepper steeped with the black tea and a bit of milk added. It's a very simple blend to make one's self and you can also find pre-made cartons that only require you to add milk or water to your liking. Therapeutically, chai tea is full of antioxidants which boost your immune system's efficacy. The various spices each add numerous qualities as well, including a full range of vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients your body needs.
