If you or a loved one blog on an iPad here are some must have gifts for the holidays or special occasions. A few of these items can be used with other tablets and some of the manufacturers make products for laptops, tablets and phones.

Stands

If you are not a fan of combination stand/covers that are limiting and clumsy here are a couple options I use regularly and highly recommend.

MoviePeg for iPad – MoviePeg is two pieces of portable stand magic that snap together when not in use. It is a recyclable product made from Thermo Plastic Elastomer (TPE) and comes in a variety of colors. It is a hands free stand that positions the iPad vertically or horizontally. The Movie Peg is perfect for viewing movies or typing blog posts as you can choose whichever angle is more comfortable for viewing or typing. There is a version for iPhones so be careful when making a selection. This is perfect for tablets without cases.

Stabile Steel Stands – Thought Out and PED3 by Thought Out make highly rated stationary and swivel steel stands. For bloggers using wireless keyboards they might like this option if it is a stand they are not dragging around with them. They are pricy but well worth the price if you are worried about knocking over your tablet while in use. Thought Out is a recommended favorite, very sturdy and reliable.

Protective Covers

GelaSkins – GelaSkins makes protective covers for a variety of laptops, tablets, iPads, iPhones and more. They complement all their skins with matching wallpaper. Designs are created by freelance artists. You could create your own if you have a custom image you’d like to use. You can find their skins on Amazon or order directly from their site.

Moshi iVisor AG for iPad – The iVisor is the last screen protector you’ll ever buy. It is a serious screen protector, bubble free, quick installation and the best scratch protection ever. There is a deep scratch on mine that did not go through to the iPad screen.

BUILT Neoprene Totes and Bags – BUILT has put the fun in functional with jazzy bags for laptops, tablets, lunch and more. Their laptop sleeves have the easiest compartments to stash cords, thumb drives, mouse devices and more. It is a tight padded fit to slip in another bag or backpack. If you are not keen on replacing a favorite business bag, a BUILT bag to pad and protect is an affordable solution.
