Massachusetts Covered Bridges

My husband and I set out to view some of the covered bridges in Massachusetts. We managed to see three of the nine bridges in one day. However, we were very disappointed with two of the bridges we saw. The three we visited were not taken care of at all and one was moved into a corn field! It's too bad that Massachusetts isn't taking care of these remnants of its heritage.

Here is a list of the nine remaining covered bridges in Massachusetts.

New England SummerBissell Bridge, Charlemont
Arthur A. Smith Bridge, Colrain
Burkeville Bridge, Conway
Chester H. Waterous Bridge, Pepperell
Pumping Station Bridge, Greenfield
Gilbertville Bridge, Hardwick
Upper Sheffield Bridge, Sheffield
Dummerston Bridge, Sturbridge
Service Bridge, Sturbridge
