So you want to be a sweepstaker? You have just entered the wonderful world of sweepstakes. This is a realm where all things are possible, and most of them are probable. Pretty good odds, I’d say. Of course, that comes from someone who saw what was possible, implemented the knowledge I obtained and have seen the fruits of my labor.
I've been sweeping for fifteen years and experienced the wonderful highs of seeing that Fed Ex man drive up my driveway, heard the delightful toots of the UPS truck and listened to unknown voices on the phone say those glorious words, “Congratulations, you’re a Winner!”
A visit to my home is like visiting the set of The Price Is Right. I have all the finesse of those show girls, (now if I only had their looks), as I wave my arm towards the big screen TV, “And this was courtesy of so and so.” We sit down to dine on filet mignon, (provided by my $1300 Stockyards gift certificate) and barbecue on my $3500 grill (which was worth more than the vehicle I owned when I won the grill). After dinner, we enjoy our dessert on the chaise lounges supplied by another win. Ah, life is very, very good.
Before I began sweeping, I researched the hobby, visited conversation boards on the web and read many articles. I was a “Lurker” for 3 months. At first I thought, how can this be possible? People really winning cars and money? The more I observed, the more I saw there definitely was something to it.
I'd been sweeping for six months when I got my first big win. The Fed Ex truck pulled up and I signed for the envelope. Ripping it open, my husband shook his head in disbelief when I told him we had just won $5,000!
Eleven postcards, costing me $2.20 had net me a $5,000 win. That’s what I call a good return on my investment. Goodbye fishsticks, hello filet mignon. Talk about a Stimulus Package! A Sweepstaker had been born.
This is not a “Get Rich Quick” scheme, or a 10-step program for prosperity. I will provide tips and tools you can use to become successful at sweepstaking, but they do require some work on your part. Watch for my upcoming articles, and in the meantime, see how many sweepstakes you can find. They are everywhere!
