New Doctor Who Stories And Best Selling Toys

One of the new Doctor Who Shorts books of science fiction short stories has a shiny-blue sharp image - a cool Dalek - on a cover which invites readers young and old to come in and share the adventure!Accompanying the literary element of the sci-fi adventure are some of the best selling toys and merchandising from the Doctor Who range.

Many young learners will be attracted to books and to reading by these science-fiction escapades as they have all the weight of television promotion behind them too - even if a closet sci-fi nerd Dad has to read the stories out loud! (Dads will no doubt love an excuse to dramatise those famous words... 'we will ex..ter..min..ate' repeated over and over, faster and faster in that famously spine-chilling gargling tone!)

In fact, perusing the reviews of the Doctor Who Shorts vintage science-fiction series is illuminating! It would seem that these books about vintage science fiction robots and space monsters are not the sole preserve of the young. On the contrary, it seems that many a Dad, Grandad, Uncle or even older brother is borrowing the DVDs, Cds and books from the Doctor Who range.

Junior's faithfully reproduced model Judoon Scanner with its techie pen and UV light will probably be filched by Dad too. He will be keen to see just how well the mysterious light can reveal his secret code messages! The Judoon technology will also prove mighty useful in scanning the neighbors and visitors to check they're authentic humans and not sinister beings from outer space masquerading as Mr and Mrs Joe Public!

Many New Doctor Who readers seem to be fresh to the science fiction television series, perhaps even discovering it for the first time. Some reviews allude to the fact that the Doctor Who short stories are particularly helpful in initiating Doctor Who newbies to the chronology and background of the vintage science fiction BBC series.

Other books in the series cover the good Doctor's later exploits and there is a very good selection to choose from. All the Doctor Who trademarks are represented including that famous blue Tardis which was based on one of London's traditional old police boxes.

The Daleks will perhaps win over some of the other space monsters, due maybe in part to their menacing speech and movements, There are Dalek robot toys, Dalek posters, toy weapons and even the best selling Dalek-defying Doctor Who pen! This popular toy is one of the BBC's best-selling kids gadgets!

So when the new Doctor hits town big-time, everyone will be ready and that's not just the kids!
