Bound to Please

Hello, and welcome back! We're having an absolutely gorgeous spring day today, not too warm, but still sunny. I should really be outside pulling weeds, but I'm not feeling much in the mood for that at the moment. Instead, I'm taking care of the household and office chores today. The bread machine is going, and I'm trying to decide what to do for supper. In the meantime, I have another May book to share with you.

Lilli Feisty debuts this month with Bound to Please (Grand Central). Event planner Ruby Scott's latest party is where she meets the sexy (and much younger) Mark St. Crow. Mark is a musician, which is one of the professions on her 'not what I want in a man' list, but even before they're introduced, there's an attraction between them that won't be denied. But Ruby really isn't prepared for Mark, who intends to take her fantasies to the next level. Mark isn't a relationship sort of guy, not with his wandering musician lifestyle, and Ruby might actually have met a man who could be the sort of man she's decided she does want for a permanent relationship. Except she can't stop thinking about Mark, and neither of them can seem to keep away from the other, no matter what their intentions. There's never really a question of will they or won't they with Mark and Ruby, rather, will they make up their dang minds already? There is also a secondary story going on with Ruby's best friend and business partner Meg and Meg's husband, who seems to have lost interest in her and their marriage, but that isn't especially gripping. I didn't find myself all that eager to turn the pages for Ruby and Mark either, to be honest. I thought the story was okay, but not fantastic, which disappointed me a little, as it sounded intriguing when I read about it months ago. I suppose they can't all be keepers, though, or my house would have exploded from too many books long, long ago. I'm borrowing two and a half of Cupid's five arrows for this one.

Until next time, happy reading!
